I’ve Said it Before…

August 5, 2009

and I’ll say it again right now. A joyfully lived celibacy in the priesthood is the anti-dote to our culture’s problems.

Start preaching on this NOW, boys.

  1. Polyamourus?? WTH??

  2. That’s actually really interesting. In the end they say

“Everyone in a relationship wrestles at some point with an eternal question: can one person really satisfy every need?”

The crux of the problem. Obviously not. Only God can.

  3. Ethical nonmonogamy? Now that’s an oxymoron.

What got me was that they said kids do just fine as long as they’re in a “stable home with loving parents”. How “stable” can a home like this be when mom and dad are adding more partners and switching up which person they’re with any weekend.

The saddest part was dad’s answer to who do you love more – momma or your girlfriend? Dad answers momma because that’s we needed to hear. We need to ask ourselves why – because he’s trying to understand what a family looks like?
